A Welcome from the Chairman

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the new CAMRA branch - East Hampshire. Please keep reading - just what is CAMRA? and who we are in East Hampshire; latest news; info on your locals (pub clips); social events and our contact details.

Where are you, CAMRA members? 

We don’t bite, we don’t get p*****, we don’t have dodgy jumpers or beards and we don’t wear socks ‘n’ sandles (well not all of us). The committee and the relatively few CAMRA members that regularly ‘get active’ (and thanks to them) would really like to here from all 200 local branch members in order to understand what you’d like East Hampshire to focus on in 2013 with a special focus on campaigns and socials. Almost any suggestion or idea is welcome so long as its legal and I don’t have buy a round. To this end, we would like to see you at our next events - see social for details.

The Beer Story: Calling Time on Duty

A new film highlighting the importance of a beer tax freeze in the March Budget was released by the British Beer & Pub Association today. The film ‘The Beer Story - Calling Time on Duty’ highlights the vital role the brewing and pub industry plays in the economic and social life of Britain, and includes interviews with a host of people who make this £19 billion industry such a key part of the economy – in every part of Britain.View the video here
